Lewis Bowman started in this trade at 16, learning on the tools before he could drive himself to a job. Now 38, with more than 20 years' experience behind him, that same drive is what built Pentaburgh, a business born from wanting to do things properly, not just quickly.

Homeowners and private clients across Edinburgh and the Lothians. Pentaburgh is a domestic plumbing and heating business: tenement flats in Leith, semis in Corstorphine, coastal properties in Musselburgh and South Queensferry, ex-mining terraces in Loanhead and Bonnyrigg. If it's a home with pipes, radiators or a boiler in it, it's the work we do every day.

What we specialise in

Reactive plumbing and heating: leaks, breakdowns, no hot water, radiators that never warm up, alongside planned work: boiler installation, servicing, full heating systems, power flushing, and complete bathroom fitting with every trade managed in-house. Pentaburgh is a Worcester Bosch Accredited Installer and a Vaillant installer, so new boilers come with the manufacturer guarantee that comes with accredited fitting.

Depth of experience

Twenty years of jobs means very few surprises. Old lead and iron pipework, systems that have been added to by four different trades over thirty years, pressure faults that look like one thing and turn out to be another, the diagnosis is faster because the same faults have been seen before. That saves you time on the clock and stops you paying twice for the same problem.
